Cycling in green Noida with the widest city roads
Noida is a city in Uttar Pradesh, that offers a wide variety of open flatlands. This helps the cyclist to cycle on a road with relatively lower traffic. The Noida expressway service lane and Yamuna bandh road, are perfect examples of less or zero traffic roads. The cyclists can enjoy their rides without any fear of being hit by cars or any such other miss happenings.
The residents of Greater Noida and Noida love to practice on the Noida Expressway because of its wide roads with almost zero potholes, the road bikers just love it.
These open roads result in some heavy headwinds at times and the pro riders take it up as a challenge and push their bodies to their max potential.
A beginner rider can ride on the Yamuna bandh road which is behind the Amity University, the road offers almost zero traffic during all times of the day and the riders can enjoy their rides, chit-chatting with their riding partners.
The Noida authority has decided to resurface internal roads in the city through a new technique called “hot-in-place” under which the top layer of the road is removed before putting on a new layer. The authority aims to use this technique in order to resurface the 25 km-long Noida-Greater Noida Expressway as well. This move is to ensure the level of the roads stay the same because it keeps going up with each surfacing activity. It ensures a much smoother route for both the motorised vehicles and the cyclists.
The famous tag line of Noida “Green Noida Clean Noida” has ensured the city is green with lots of trees planted on the open highways, sectors, service roads and many other places. This helps the riders to ride in a much cleaner environment, and their purpose of being fit is also not hampered.
Noida being a vast hub for the IT sector has also become a hub for the cyclists, because of its wide city roads. Noida is a planned city, it has planted many trees and is much greener as compared to Delhi, and the pollution levels are also less.
Noida also witnesses one of the oldest cycling clubs in Delhi NCR which is the Noida Cycling Club, it was started in the year 2011 and has been actively organising rides every weekend. All of this contributes to the developing culture of cycling in Noida. The people have now become aware of the long and wide roads to ride, also the residents have access to the best cycling group. They have everything that one needs to take up cycling.
